Umkhiqizo ulandela izinga lobuchwepheshe le-ITU-T G.987/G.988 futhi ungahambisana nezindlela ezintathu ze-G/XG/XGS-PON ngesikhathi esisodwa. Umkhiqizo unokuvuleka okuhle, ukuhambisana okuqinile, ukwethembeka okuphezulu, nemisebenzi ephelele yesofthiwe. Ingasetshenziswa kabanzi ekufinyeleleni kwe-FTTH yabasebenzisi, i-VPN, ukufinyelela kukahulumeni kanye nepaki yebhizinisi, ukufinyelela kwenethiwekhi yekhampasi, njll.
